Is it possible...? Could it be...?
Did Democrat Francine Busby actually win in CA-50? Before you scoff, read Brad Friedman's fine piece of "inquisitive investigation." He's at his best here.

You can't expect the ruling political party, in a corrupt, corporate-financed oligarchy like ours, to fight for fair elections.
But what does it say of the Democratic party, and people like John Kerry, and the so-called third estate (the MSM), that they're not screaming about this matter on a daily basis? Why is this threat to democracy so less important than "terrorism"? Why do we spend 500+ billion on "defense", when the outcome of most elections in this country can't even be verified?
If there was ever an argument for a third party, and for the utter uselessness of corporate Democrats, particularly in this age of right-wing extremism, isn't this it?
But Democrats, god bless them, haven't moved an inch. Same old shit. All they want, with very few exceptions, is the power and prestige of the office. The public can go to tell. Same with most journalists. You don't get to a high position at Time or the NYT, if you're disposed to tell the truth about anything
