What happened to Air America?

I thought Air America was supposed to be trying to BUILD an audience. Instead, they've made it difficult -- impossible, in my case -- to access the shows via the internet. Listeners now have to go through an elaborate registration process (yet another password to remember...GRRR!). Once that process has been completed, you'll find that the audio players are now audio-visual centers, filling your desktop with flashy visual ads to accompany the on-air ads. And the streaming audio simply did not work when I tried it!

I suggest that everyone complain to the geniuses at Air America. Do NOT register.

Air America is not worth listening to anyway.

Why would you launch a radio network whose "talent" is mainly radio rookies and "comedians"?

Morning Sedition still sounds like amateur hour and Majority Report is just as bad.

Air America is the perfect example of leading your own opposition, and seems to be staffed with useful idiots.

I agree.....I had the same problem and gave up after 25 mins and sent them an email. About 9pm pst I tried again and viola!! Finally got stream. As with everything they do, they have to work out the bugs. And contrary to the sour righty above, they are worth listening to.....at least some of them.

Jeez, talk about stabbing your comrades in the back! Come on, Air America is at least out there trying. The Franken show is great, and the other programs are getting the word out. And the listening online? I signed up with no problem. Give 'em a break. It's not a hassle at all to sign up, and they're hardly the only media website requiring that--and at least it's free. I suggest everybody calm down and stop tearing down one of the few outlets for truth in the media today.

By the way, once you're signed up, you can change your password in two seconds. Simple.

Hey, give Air America a break.

One of the big unknowns of Air America's listening audience is the number of folks who listen to the station through the Internet.

Right now, there's no good way to for Air America to prove its audience is as large as it is, since Arbitron only relies on old-fashioned methods to calculate the listening audience.

By registering, it helps Air America prove it has real Internet listeners.

I don't live in an area that broadcasts Air America locally, so my only way of listening every day is through the Internet.

I will happily register.

Lighten up.
