Condi at Spamalot (Corrected)

While thousands of black people suffered and died in New Orleans, that despicable kapo Condi Rice breezed through New York, buying thousands of dollars worth of shoes and taking in a musical. The theatrical offering she chose was Spamalot, the stage version of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

I'm not wondering why the Secretary of State chose to waste her time on frivolity when our state was in such peril. What can you expect from a Bush-loving pig but a grunt?

What I am wondering is why the folks onstage performed the same old routines. They should have entertained Condi with new lyrics. My suggestion:

We're the thugs of the Bush cabinet!
If you've got oil, we're grabbin' it!
We play rough
as we take your stuff
If you've got stuff we're havin' it!
We're the demon hordes from Texas
We've got hellish spells and hexes!

I'd continue along those lines, but I can't think of any more rhymes (or pseudo-rhymes) for "cabinet"... (Maybe someone can show this post to Terry Jones? He might be able to complete the song...)

Correction: The first version of this post referred to Condi as the National Security Advisor. Sorry. As it happens, I've been spending a fair amount of time recently reading material from the 2001-2003 period (mostly 9/11-related material).

Well, it could've been worse. I can recall a time when Ms. Rice herself could not recall the person to whom George W. Bush is married...

I can imagine her saying, "it's not my department--I'm Secretary of State now."

Rice as National Security Advisor? Have we been transported back to 2003?

Still waiting for that receipt number...

Or at least, a report on how you enjoyed the Thai food while others were starving cause you welched.

Damn! Sure enough, here it is! From AP:
********************
While touring domestic disasters falls outside her official domain, Rice told Bush that “if there is anything I can do outside of my responsibilities as secretary of state, I’d be happy to do that, too.” She was criticized last week for attending a Broadway show and shopping in New York during an abbreviated vacation.
***********************

In other words, "it's not my department!"

"Not my department"? There was a lot of
work for the Secy of State in receiving
offers of help from places like Venezuela
and Cuba.
