1. This is a very nice article by Patricia Goldsmith, who sees George Bush's administration as an expression of his personal pathology.
2. Someone seems to have attempted to put the kibosh on the Vanity Fair piece on Sibel Edmonds, which implied that Dennis Hastert may have taken bribes from Turkish interests. Hastert has denied the story. More to come...

That Patricia Goldsmith piece was interesting. I always like it when someone finds a way to discuss W.'s vindictive streak--and it was especially great that she, like a responsible journalist, addressed it through the use of Bush's old professor. I still think it's possible, if not probable, that it will be Bush's insane desire to not just punnish but seek vengeance against his critics that will ultimately be his undoing.
More broadly speaking, Bush's intense desire for adoration will be his undoing. If and when he is confronted unstoppably by how much he is disliked now even in his own country, he will collapse.
Thanks for that Goldsmith link. Not only was her piece tops, but it led on to her other articles, and I followed one of the best trails of recent days, to the excellent www.dissidentvoice.org, MRZine.com, and a few other goodies. There are some real heroes speaking out now, in addition to Cindy Sheehan.
