Well, I swore: no more blogging today -- and then I find out that George Tenet, Director of Central Intelligence, has just resigned!
In my view, many events of the past couple of years can and should be seen in terms of a CIA-neocon "war." That war just drew some serious blood.
We've had a rash of intriguing leaks: The Abu Ghraib prison photos, the damning Enron wiretaps (with the Bush link underlined even by the local Fox News outlet!), the pre-9/11 Presidential Daily Briefing, the Chalabi info, and more. Nearly every day, something new. Drip, drip, drip. Where's it all coming from?
Tenet was known for his fierce loyalty to Bush. Was he truly so loyal? Or have the leaks come from other factions of the intelligence community?
