Bush's good week

Bush is having a "good" week -- finally. Not as a result of anything he has done. But the death of Ronald Reagan and all the accompanying syrupy commentary will probably cause W's poll numbers to bounce. Could this be the reason the funeral ceremonies are taking an entire week?

Anyone recall how the right castigated those attending Paul Wellstone's funeral? As I remember the controversy, Democrats were viewed as eeeeee-villl because they allegedly politicized a man's death. Well, isn't that what's going on right now? The GOP is planting stories claiming that the W administration is really Reagan's "third term," and mass mailings are using Reagan's death as a propaganda point for the eternal fetching of campaign contributions.
