Sometimes you miss it. The obvious thing. The elephant in the living room. The dead giveaway.
Many will scoff at the "paranoid" accusation (mentioned in my previous post) that the Iraqi police and/or the American military directly handed Berg to the terrorists. But Tom Tomorrow noticed something very odd about the execution video:
Nick Berg is wearing an American-style orange prison jumpsuit!!
According to the official story, Berg was formally released, at which point he contacted his parents; he then was re-captured while trying to leave Iraq. But if he had been released, even for a brief time, he would have changed back into his own clothing.
Given this bizarre sequence of events, even the weirder theories gain some credibility. Can we totally dismiss the conspiratorialist notion that the execution was staged -- or, worse, carried out by "our" side?
