W on THAT morning

"I had been in enough crises to know that the first thing a leader has to do is to project calm."

What crises? Did he stain his cheerleading shirt at Andover?
Comments:
Took him long enough to cook up that load of crap.

Saw a bumper sticker the other day that struck me for its brevity and wit:
BUSH KNEW

Bush the Lesser was so calm people died from exposure and dehydration in the aftermath of Katrina.

Ha...you caught that, too. "What crises?" was my first thought, too. Didn't he govern Texas for about an hour a day? Maybe being the #1 state in child poverty was the crisis he referred to....and he had to sustain an aura of unconcern.

W's crisis was having Jeb as the better-looking, smarter, father-favored bro. And wishing he could trade him in for a guy who'd kiss his ass, like Blair. And wishing he could trade-in his loser dad for a guy like Cheney or Rummy.

"Took him long enough to cook up that load of crap."
-> and They trained him on the job, the day before -> 10.Sep.2001
