Noted...

First: I'm writing from a library because the network is down where I'm staying. It should be fixed soon. I hope.

Second: I've not had much time to check out the news today, but this seems cute.
One source confirmed that communications between Emanuel and the Blagojevich administration were captured on court-approved wiretaps.

Another source said that contact between the Obama camp and the governor's administration regarding the Senate seat began the Saturday before the Nov. 4 election, when Emanuel made a call to the cell phone of Harris. The conversation took place around the same time press reports surfaced about Emanuel being approached about taking the high-level White House post should Obama win.
Third: Is anyone else thinking, as I am thinking, that Obi's forces have a mole on Team Fitz or in the FBI? Or am I simply letting memories of "The Departed" get to me?

Fourth: I've read the Rahm Emanuel has received death threats and other forms of intimidation. ABSOLUTELY REPREHENSIBLE. That sort of behavior must be denounced forcefully.

Re: the mole...I think it could be the other way around, Joseph (Fitz has people "on" Team Obama helping him out). Just a feeling (and the sense that anyone as dogmatic as BO will get screwed over by his underlings eventually).

I'm not sure what the story is on Rahm Emanuel, but since he's a U.S. Congressman, I'd assume that what you're saying that he's receiving more death threats and other forms of intimidation than usual. I'm sure that the Secret Service or some other Capitol Hill security folks track all of the serious and looney threats that are made of that sort, but that's the sort of number that wouldn't be announced to the public because of the adding-gas-to-the fire effect. Considering the sorts of threats that go out to lowly bloggers, the sort of things that Congressmen and Senators and Presidents get must be... yeesh... lots.

It's onlt reprehensible if he has ACTUALLY received threats.

Dunno about a mole in Fitz's camp, but he's renowned for running a tight ship.

Here's something odd: Someone posted a link on December 11 saying, "Go here: http://www.illinois.gov/govgazette/

Then press on Gazette Archive:

There is only one Gazette - it is says Edition 1 and that’s the one you link to with Obama as President elect conferring with Governor Blagojevich."

I checked it out and it was on the Illinois Governor's official government website. A two-page .pdf newsletter. The entire first page, in full color, was a report on Blago's meeting with Bama regarding the senate seat, complete with photo of them nose-to-nose. (page two looked like 'filler' stuff)

Guess what! SURPRISE!!! Scrubbed. No more Governor's Gazette.

Hm.

I agree with Nibbles. If Obama had a mole on Team Fitz and therefore knew what was in the offing, he would have probably volunteered to wear a wire himself to bring down Blago.

I don't recall where I read or heard the following, (was it here?) but it makes sense, the FBI had to close it's investigation early enough to ensure the investigation did not get scuttled once Barack Obama took office.

Plus it ensures job security when the regimes change, Barack Obama would look foolish firing the man who exposed Blagojevich.

The more I read about this whole shady story the more I believe there is either a mole in the FBI or Patrick Fitzgerald is in the tank with Obama too. I always found it suspicious that the jury verdict on the Rezko trial kept getting delayed for two weeks. Oddly the judge would delay for illness or the jury would be dismissed early etc. Coincidentally, the verdict was dropped on June 4th the day after the last primary. Then I read that Fitzgerald had enough info to indict Blagojevich in June, but he waited as to not hurt Obama's chances to secure the nomination. Rezko was supposed to be sentenced right before the convention, and it was postponed until October 28th because he decided to talk. Then it was postponed again because Rezko was talking. Since Obama won, Rezko stopped talking. Now Blago is indicted and Rezko is talking again. It just feels like the entire system is set up to protect Obama. The DNC riggs the election to guarantee his win, the Supreme court tosses out the birth certificate cases with no explanation, The MSM is absurdly in the tank for Obama, the large corporations and banks are donating vast amounts of money to Obama who has zero qualifications to be President, Republicans stay home from voting for McCain and now their appears to be a mole in the Attorney Generals office. It's all just too weird and scary if you think about it too much. I used to think Fitzgerald was going to take down Obama. There is enough info in the Rezko/Obama home purchase alone to take him down, and nothing ever happens. I think we need to look at this with new eyes, and suspect their is a mole or Fitzgerald is in the tank with Obama. That way if Obama comes out of this scott free we will know the truth, and come to realize that our entire political and corporate systems have been completely taken over and Obama was selected not elected to be President by the powers that be whoever they are. It's a very sad day for America indeed.

Agree with above sentiments re: Obama and Fitzgerald but would go a step further. I believe Obama has been "an FBI informant" for many years. For me this makes his connections with Chicago politics a little easier to understand (and stomach.) On the other hand I believe this makes Obama a long standing member of the shadow government and by God I'm tired of being ruled by guys I can only see as dark silhouettes. Not only do we as citizens not know who Obama really is, but, through the magic of a entirely co-opted press, most American's don't know that we don't know.

With the way these slime-balls are all intermingled in Chicago politics, who the hell knows who it might be threatening Emanuel?

"First: I'm writing from a library"

I also HAVE to use a Public Library because the crime system has destroyed most of my computers.

"One source confirmed that communications between Emanuel and the Blagojevich administration were captured on court-approved wiretaps."

This wouldn't surprise me the least.

"Third: Is anyone else thinking, as I am thinking, that Obi's forces have a mole on Team Fitz or in the FBI?"

I wouldn't doubt that this was accounted for a long time ago. Be assured that appropriate measures were made to sidestep this from being a problem. When the Feds were breaking down the huge drug distribution system around Chicago in 2003, they shut down their phone and fax sysetms more than once a day to check for taps. I don't have a link but read this back then. I personally know that the Obama/Ill Gov problem are linked to many criminal activities that go a lot deeper than just Pay-to-Play. How I know is because I was in a family for more than 26 years who is directly involved.

Clyde O'Connor is my ex-sister-in-law's brother. My youngest son to my dismay is involved with Rezko. The family often bragged about being a CIA Asset when asked why they aren't concerned about being prosecuted.

What's happening is a lot larger than you might think. Obama is well known by the family and guess who may have helped the family setup their Florida business with O'Connor.

Yes Joseph, others are thinking as you are thinking - which is why I think, according to the governor, he was only offered "appreciation" during the conversation that neither Obama, nor any of his advisors ever had with him. No incrimination in exchange for what though? Blagojevich??? *(scratching my damn head)* Doesn't make sense - yet.

And Rahm's ducking for cover once this information broke (anybody seen him??) confirms one thing - he is somehow involved, no matter which source is correct, since each is easily verifiable by SOMEONE!!!

In Cain's affidavit under Item 2 it says, "2. I have participated in and am familiar with this investigation through...personal interviews conducted with witnesses; my review of consensually-recorded conversations; a review of pen register information, trap
and trace information, and telephone toll record information; and a review of information
derived from the interception of wire communications occurring to and from certain telephones. I also am familiar with information derived from the interception of oral communications occurring in the offices of Friends of Blagojevich, 4147 North Ravenswood 2
Avenue, Suite 300, Chicago, Illinois. In addition, I am familiar with testimony given during the trial of Antoin Rezko from March to May 2008."
Sounds like a mole to me.

bluesky...I think you're onto something there. We must look at all those who stand to benefit from this. As a result, Fitzgerald's complicity cannot yet be totally ruled out.

Sure, I'd like to think he's merely an honest, upstanding public servant, doggedly in search of truth, justice and the American way and all that, but I just have reservations.

Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so
I guess I'll just sum it up what I wrote and
say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to everything.
Do you have any suggestions for newbie blog writers?
I'd really appreciate it.
