There is no hope

GO HERE NOW. Watch the video. Try not to turn away.

How many sides does a triangle have? "Four."

What is the religion of Israel? "Catholic."

Can you name a country that begins with the letter U? "Yugoslavia."

In the war on terror, what's the next country to invade? "Italy."

There is no hope. There is no hope. Never for one second think there is even the remotest possibility of hope. There is NO hope.

Admittedly I know many many of these people... or someone just like them. I always say these people park their cars at Kmart on saturdays. Beware. Sadly they vote..... based on who they "like" and "trust". It's a fairly accurate picture unfortunately. Maybe there is something to this I hear that fluoride dumbs people down.... something surely has.

Well, we've all been wondering why Bush's approval numbers never fall below 30%.

Now we know why.

This isn't really news. Surveys over the past few years have shown that large majorities of Bush supporters don't actually know what his policies are, and/or believe demonstrable absurdities, (e.g., that Saddam Hussein was directly responsible for 9/11, or that the U.S. had broad international support for the invasion of Iraq) -- not because they reject accepted historical truths or distrust the media, but simply because they're ignorant of the basic facts. They don't even know their positions are anomalous.

While some of the erroneous answers are simply ignorant, many appear to be jokes and/or nothing more than guesses, which the parties know are guesses on their part. Still ignorant, but not unknowingly so.

Look, people uncritically take current 'man on the street' interviews demonstrating this level of ignorance as new developments, and some sort of shocking new low in American knowledge.

Fact is, Americans are PROUDLY insular, uninterested in the world, and have been, basically forever. The notion that Americans USED TO know such things, relative to their day, and now do not, has little evidence to support it.

Let's harken back to perhaps what people would claim would be the golden years of America-- the '50s.

The drop-out rates prior to completion of high school then would shock you (I think I recall the average American had attended school through the 7th or 8th grade in those time, before they went into the work force). The lack of geographical knowledge then was comparable to today's.

Probably, if anything, the relative level of knowledge on these matters is up in America overall, compared to past times.

It's pretty hilarious that when I saw this last week on Google Videos, hundreds of Americans who can't spell lashed out claiming this was "edited". Sucker pulease! I tried to months to simply explain the facade of 9-11, chemtrails, and Bush's lies, only to encounter the same ignorance. This IS America today. Very sad.

And yes, I believe this was by design. We have been poisoned for years by our food, water, and air.

mondo, you're just as bad as the rest. You're the guy in the video who defines Al Qaeda as "a wing of the Masonic order" -- which, incidentally, is the moment that made my ladyfriend and I laugh the loudest. You're the faux hip. The guy who thinks he knows what's going on because he has read (uncritically) a few dumb-ass conspiracy books.

Please, I'm not long for this gig. Guys like you drove me out of it. I know most conspiracy buffs are so wrapped in in pursuing what they consider the Truth with a capital T that they cannot be bothered to observe human niceties. But if you have any humanity left in you, I beg you -- JUST GO AWAY. Please. Do not visit this site any more. I cannot disguise the fact that I HATE people like you. There are plenty of sites where you are welcome; why barge into MY home, where you are not wanted? This is not a public place; this is my home.

(A normal person would take the hint. But conspiracy nuts, being nuts, always insist on having the last word. I bet mondo will do just that...)
