Another quick point, not to take away from Joe's latest two important posts, just wanted to first of all remind everyone that tonight at 9 EDT on PBS, Bill Moyers will dissect - as only Moyers can - the entire Abramoff scandal, Capitol Crimes. DO NOT MISS IT. This is the emblematic scandal that set the pattern Feckless Foley has now exposed.
In the next two installments of this Moyers on America series, Wednesdays the 11th and 18th, he will also cover the conservative evangelical movement and the environment in Is God Green?, and the attempts of the corporate media to restrict the media in The Net @ Risk.
The last of this series is of particular importance, and you won't want to miss it, as it covers our freedoms here on the blogosphere.
I also want to apologize to everyone there in the LA area for my complete lapse of responsibility on all matters regarding the free press, the media, and the FCC. Yesterday at 1 there was actually a FCC public meeting with the five commissioners there, and I failed to alert you. Please keep aware of this, as it is the 2004 media ownership nightmare redux.
Stay awake; even the Foley fiasco can lull us into ignoring what's really important ahead of us.

Stay awake is right. And for Gods' sake, find somewhere to contribute to the midterms. At least phonebank for a candidate or two. You'll feel so much better. I know I do.
