More Gannonfire (updated)
Although I may not have mentioned the Joe Biden connection to the Gannon/Guckert matter, those following the story will recall that Gannon has made some rather cryptic comments about Biden. Why, many wondered, did America's most notorious he-whore single out THAT politician?
In that light, the following news story may be of some interest:
A former campaign worker for U.S. Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., was sentenced in federal court today to three years and one month in prison for stealing more than $412,000 from the senator.
Those who have argued that "Gannon's" escort service functioned as a political blackmail ring now have an additional piece of evidence. Tongsun Park in the 1970s -- Craig Spence and Tod Blodgett in the late 1980s -- and now this.
On the Honest-to-Gosch front: I have argued that the Gannon/Guckert affair has become a lint trap for disinformation. Don't be surprised if some of the more notorious tale-spinners -- Ozzie LeWinter, Gunther Russbacher, Michael Riconosciuto -- pop in to offer "insider" scoops.
Noreen Gosch, I understand, has refused to endorse or dismiss the idea that Guckert is her long-lost son. A comprehensible and predictable reaction. She had placed much faith in the "investigations" of Ted Gunderson. Now he has offered a wild theory while claiming to speak in Noreen's name. Gunderson being Gunderson, I'll bet that he did so without first discussing the matter with her. One can only imagine what she is feeling right now.
But the presence of disinformation may indicate that something genuine is being cloaked. One thought keeps nagging at me -- why hasn't Gannon/Guckert himself made political hay out of the Gosch theory? One would think that he would use this controversy as an excuse to tweak the noses of the folks on Democratic Underground...
Readers may recall my asking if Bruce and Bobby Eberle (who appear to be related to each other) have any relationship with Paul and Shirley Eberle, the pornographers who have written against claims of child abuse. Please understand: I have no problem whatsoever with pornography, a long as everyone on both sides (creation and consumption) is a consenting adult. But the accusation that Paul Eberle dabbled in kiddie porn continues to linger. Apparently, his publication Finger did print illustrations, but not photos, of children having sex with adults. (The law allowed illustrations in those days.)
A poster to DU offers some new data on Paul Eberle, which I have NOT verified. (Scroll down to response 65.) Still no direct link to GOPUSA or Bobby Eberle. But this information, if correct, would indicate that Paul E. -- once connected with the left in Los Angeles -- may now have interesting connections veering rightward:

If you're gonna dog somebody with half assed facts, let's at least get the names right, eh Watson?
