Is this true? Many websites are carrying Eric Zuesse's report of an extermination campaign against civilians who support the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Wait. Let's back up. The blog reaches a (largely) American audience, and there's an old saying: "War is God's way of teaching geography to Americans." To which we must add: Americans hate geography, including cultural geography. They refuse to learn it. That's why we've blundered into some really stupid wars during the past half-century.
Very well, then. The basics: Ukraine is embroiled in a civil war which was more or less ignited by Washington neocons, who brought a bunch of pro-West, Russia-hating neo-Nazis to power in the capital city of Kiev. That change of government is generally known as the Maidan or Euromaidan revolution. ("Maidan" means "square." The revolution arose from a series of protests which took place in public squares.) This new government pissed off a lot of people in the eastern part of Ukraine, who speak Russian and have strong cultural ties to Russia. These people weren't allowed to vote in elections which "legitimized" the new regime. Extending a middle finger to Kiev, these pro-Russian Ukrainians broke off to form the Federal State of Novorossiya (New Russia), which is comprised of two entities: The Donetsk Republic and the Lugansk People's Republic.
And now "our" Ukrainians are trying to destroy this new state. Which brings us back to Zuesse's report:
On June 11th, an “Anti-Maidan” or anti-ethnic-cleansing, site, posted to youtube excerpts from previously unpublished press-conference Q&A-session statements by Koval, which were made perhaps immediately following the Defense Minister’s private meeting on June 4th with top NATO officials, who endorsed his plan. This youtube was titled “Secretary of Defense [Mikhailo Koval] About Concentration Camp for Eastern Ukraine People.”I have embedded the video above. Although the violence is not terribly graphic (it takes place some distance from the camera), the video shows a civilian being dragged to a ditch, made to lie down, and then shot.
He was shown saying:
“There will be a thorough filtration of people. There will be special filtration measures put in place. We will filter out people, including women, who are linked to separatism, who were committing crimes on Ukrainian territory, crimes related to terrorist activities. We have a lot of information regarding this, and we have a formidable framework to combat this, and respective power structures will carry out this operation. Besides, this is a serious issue, related to the fact that people will be resettled to other regions.”
The people shown in the video below were not “resettled to other regions.” These were instead among the ones who were slated for immediate processing. They were forced into a ditch at night, and shot. Presumably, dirt was then immediately pushed over them (or over their corpses, for the ones that were dead).

The interesting background as to how this video (which was taken by Koval’s own troops) came to be uploaded to the Web, instead of merely filed in an accounts-payables office of the Ukrainian military in order to verify that the perpetrators had done their jobs and needed to be paid the contracted amount for the people whom they had disposed of, and for the corpses that they had produced and presumably buried, is so well explained at the linked-to site, it’ll be presented here, with full credit to them and to everyone who has enabled this information to become public at youtube, though those individuals are anonymous, for understandable reasons.
Mikhailo Koval's June statement, with English subtitles, is embedded at that bottom of this post. Koval makes no attempt to hide Kiev's plans to institute concentration camps and a mass relocation.

Western Ukraine continues it's artillery shelling of the Novo-russian civilian population. American, George Eliason who has been documenting this civil war through the eyes of someone living in Eastern Ukraine, documents the rape and mass murder of civilians. War hostages buried in mass graves consistently are found with pants down around their ankles and their ruptured colons filled with expanding insulation spray foam.

Meanwhile in an amazing bit of dissociation, the Wall Street Journal reports that given the fall in the value of the rouble people in Russia are flocking to buy...luxury goods such as Brompton bikes and 55-inch TV sets.
I wouldn't be surprised if the shelves soon empty completely in food shops in St Petersburg and elsewhere. People would do well to remember what time of year it is.
Meanwhile to certain markets the western media are presenting Russia as flexing its muscles off the coast of Australia and somewhere called the "US Gulf". That NATO are saying Russian army columns have entered the Ukraine seems much more important. Where the fuck are CND when we need them? Talking about the bloody UK general election next year". I sometimes wonder whether young people know what a nuclear weapon is!
b, we're having our fun here with our Aussie PM Tony Abbott, a right wing dill of exceptional stupidity. He's shut down our renewable energies program and carbon credits trading and insists that coal is the future! So, of course he looked a loser when Obama and Xi announced a major initiative on climate control at ASEAN a few days ago. He also got the cold shoulder there from Putin after he had loudly insisted over many months that Russia was responsible for the downing of MH17 and that Putin should "man up" and pay compensation. He even insisted he had "proof" that he was involved. Prior to ASEAN he was threatening to "shirtfront" Putin over MH17, a football euphemism for getting into someone's face and shoving your chest into them. Let me tell you, we suffer in this country with this idiot. He came to office with Murdoch backing and a series of lies about the economy and has been a disaster on every front. People want him gone -- yesterday.
The four Russian navy boats don't mean anything, probably just a Putin snub to Abbott as his host at the G20 conference just to commence here in Brisbane. The Murdoch press has gone into panic overdrive. It's pathetic and laughable.
The only interesting bit about this clown is that he is British by birth and took out Australian citizenship while living in Australia as a youth. Trouble is, it looks as though he did not renounce his UK citizenship when he was elected to parliament which means that he is illegally holding office under our Constitution. He refuses to produce the documentation renouncing his UK citizenship and UK authorities have no record of it. Again, the Murdoch media and a Parliamentary majority ensures that the issue remains unresolved.
We picked a real winner in this clown (at least other people did) -- he's a gold-plated ****!!!!
No, the Russians aren't coming. But I wish they would.
