While covering the verdict in the trial of pedophile Jerry Sandusky, Fox News broadcast footage of Indiana governor Mitch Daniels. They later apologized for the error, which was blamed on technical problems.
As you probably know, Fox has a history of "accidentally" identifying disgraced Republicans as Democrats. They have pulled that trick so often that everyone understands that these "accidents" are actually psy-war directed at the extremely gullible.
In the present case, however, the situation is rather different: Mitch Daniels is a Republican. In fact, there was a lot of talk of Daniels running for president in 2012. He seems to be a front-runner in the Republican veepstakes contest.
Did Fox have a legitimate accident this time? Or is Fox giving Daniels a signal of some sort? I suppose it would be very naughty for me to link to a scurrilous and unfounded blog post like this one. On a more serious note, one should point out that Mitch Daniels has angered a number of social conservatives because he has decided that hating gays and opposing abortions are losing strategies for Republicans.
