"...and then he kissed me!"

Little Davey Sirota responds to a reader, vis-a-vis his deep and meaningful relationship with Obama:
Why did he call me on the phone a few years ago if he "doesn't know that I exist?" And why did he call me to discuss the stuff I had blogged? And then why did he invite me to spend a day with him? Hmm...

Your bitterness is pretty pathetic - get a life. We made real progress for all the reasons listed above. If you want to spend your time berating me, that's fine - but you just look like a fuckhead.
That assessment comes from one who speaks as an expert on bitterness -- the most bitter "winner" I have ever encountered.

Yeah, I know. But drawing as badly as Roy Lichtenstein isn't as easy as it looks.

Oo. We don't know why, Davey! Do tell!

Joseph, this is a freaking riot. Hahahaha. Well played.

Part of me laughed hysterically, part of me barfed...Bitter winner indeed...
I used to wonder why republicans were so unhappy with their ill gotten victory in 2000 - and I see the pattern here again. I have to discard the possibility of a tortured conscience. I vote instead for insecurity, fear that it's all going away as easy as it was stolen. or paranoia.

Did anybody else follow the link to Sirota's 2006 "Summoned by God" post? It's fascinating. He genuflects to the Lord High Obama, then proceeds to oh-so-gently rip him a new one. It's like trying explain to the Pope why you worship the devil's good points. I don't know a whole lot about this guy, but, it's hard to understand why he supports Obama at all.

Joseph, the cartoon is a hoot n a half ... maybe some one should tell Sirota that he's just not into you!

Little Davey knows all about being pathetic doesn't he? He's a freaking riot!

Wow!

Sirota is having a complete mental meltdown right on the blog! It is an amazing thing to watch, surpassing even Aravosis at his most demented.

BooMan's takedown of him is masterful (and I say this as someone who lost a lot of love for BooMan during the primary). It's reasoned, calm, fact-filled, and faintly pitying, and concludes with BooMan's decision to discuss with his "good friend Chris Bowers" whether Bowers really wants a lunatic like Sirota on his blog.

Damn...nothin' like a good blog war. Like Clemenza told Mikey, "these things have to happen every few years. It cleans out the bad blood."

Obama invited Sirota to spend the day with him? Hmmm, indeed!

If Obama does turn out to be not just a publicly-gay-bashing politician, but also a closeted gay man, that would be even more proof he's actually a Republican. :)

(At least Sirota doesn't have his own gay-prostitution website...I think.)

p.s. When I saw the line "and then he kissed me", I couldn't help thinking of Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" (with Obama as the girl). :)

p.p.s. Speaking of Chris Bowers, last year I called him out on his Hillary-hating, and he refused to admit it (citing only a two-year-old article as "proof")...even though he implied that she was going to try to win the nomination by subverting democracy, while in a grand display of cognitive dissonance also contending that it was a good thing that the Dems were throwing out the notion of winning elections the way the Clintons did (i.e. legally).

That's hilarious, although I don't think he's addressing me. (Did I miss something?) I especially enjoyed the part where he says that Hillary "campaigned" for the Iraq war. The guy is just wacky.

As for stalking -- hell, he doesn't even know what cyberstalking IS. He should see what *I* have had to put up with.

Sirota should quit listening to the voices in his head.

I remember back in the day....ok, waaaay back in the day when Aravosis was lucid...I actually enjoyed his writing. Alas, the primaries began,he started asking for money big time and all of his marbles turned so shrill.
