Obama: "The money is MINE MINE MINE! For ME ME ME MEMEMEME!!!"

A couple of posts down, I noted that Hillary -- after working her heart out for Obama in the general -- is still trying to retire her debt, even though Obama is still sitting on a mound of campaign cash. Well, it turns out that many other Democrats have a similar issue, and a similar complaint.
The Democratic National Committee is carrying about $5 million in debt, with almost $12 million cash on hand. DNC officials say they expect to have the debt paid by the end of the year. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee carries some $19 million in debt and less than $3 million on hand. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is nearly $13 million in debt.
Obama aides emphasize the campaign expects to continue having expenses, along with tax obligations and political operations. They also say Obama has little interest in bankrolling state committees or individual candidates.
Why is Obi holding onto the money? 2012, obviously.

Is it possible he wants it in order to deal with something that could come up before the Inauguration? Say, December 8th or so?

Loved this line:

"They also say Obama has little interest in bankrolling state committees or individual candidates."

All those individuals who backed Obama, while Hillary campaigned for them, are getting their just deserts.

Now isn't that precious," as Dana Carvey would have said it.

DB, you reminded me of Obama's negotiating style, i.e. you give me everything I want and you get nothing; if you don't agree, I will shout at you. If you still don't, I will walk away. If you do, then you get nothing in return.

Good thing Hillary is going to be Secretary of State.....

What taxes?

I didn't think campaigns had to pay taxes.

Perhaps he needs to buy more temporary tattoos in the future:

(I feel like I am slumming, posting from Fox.) Of course, I like Jimmie Buffett. Can't complain about that pick.

Hillary campaigned for him in exchange for her new job.

If Hillary won, do you really believe she would have paid Obama's debt ? And it's not like Obama had millions in his personal fortune like Hillary to borrow from.

Has Bill Clinton paid for the debt of his main adversaries in 1992 ?

Obama has already personally donated the maximum alowed to Hillary's campaign. The way for him to help her pay off her debt is to ask his wealthy donors to donate to her. But he's simply not interested.

Hillary and Bill Clinton have been among the best fundraisers for the Democratic party and its candidates. And that includes Barack Obama. They both campaigned for him and raised money for him when he ran for Illinois legislature.

As far as the capital of his own he's sitting on, Anonymous conveniently forgets that there are countless other Dems and Dem committees who could use a little help from Barky. And please, if I hear one more time about how poor poor Obamas are. They have never been poor!! And Obama didn't need to dig into his own funds - he had the funds of countless contributors to ask for money. As many $2300 donations as they could wiggle. Not a US citizen? No problem!

Meanwhile, yesterday I got a $50 refund from Hillary for President campaign because it turned out I over-donated. Her campaign kept track of who gave what. How much money has Obama returned? Or do you really think he raised over $750 million in small donations?

Why doesn't Hillary just ask Bill to bring another load of cocaine into Mena...OH! That's right; they don't live in Arkansas any more.
