I am THIS close to registering Republican
My god, what has Barack Obama done to the Democratic party? I used to say that all Obots are monsters. Perhaps the time has come to say that all DEMOCRATS are monsters.What other conclusion should I reach, when every day I wake up to see my comments filled with hate messages accusing me of being a racist and a fascist, simply because I will not vote for a Democratic candidate who stole the nomination?
The Dems are now guilty of every sin they have ever ascribed to the Republicans. The Dems bleat about a mythical call to violence at a Palin rally, yet they themselves are guilty of both verbal and physical violence -- as in this instance when Democrat fanatics assault a woman who won't vote as they wish. From the complaint filed in the criminal court of NYC:
"Defendant grabbed the sign [informant] was holding, broke the wood stick that was attached to it, and then struck informant in informant’s face thereby causing informant to sustain redness, swelling, and bruising to informant’s face and further causing informant to sustain substantial pain."
The overly formal document doesn’t mention this important detail: the victim was a small, quiet, middle-aged woman wearing glasses, and the attacker was a loud, angry man who went into orbit at the mere sight of McCain campaign signs.Photographs show that young men were also carrying McCain signs on that occasion. The brave, brave Obot went after the small, older woman.
On a Monday afternoon, September 15, 2008, three McCain volunteers were holding campaign signs and distributing leaflets on a busy corner of 51st Street and Lexington Avenue. As they were peacefully talking to each other, they were approached by a man who, in the words of the victim, provided the impression of “a rather benign, doughy-looking guy — not a person I would have expected to assault me.”
This is how the victim describes it:Of course, the disgusting Keith Olbermann will NEVER mention this incident, even though he gave extensive coverage to the non-existent threat at the Palin rally.I said, “What are you doing? You can’t do that!” And he was red in the face screaming, “You people are ridiculous!” And I said, “Yeah, whatever, but you can’t do that.”
So I reached for the sign that he ripped up, and he grabbed another sign, broke it, and ripped it to shreds. And when I said, “You can’t do that,” he took the stick from the sign and started beating me on the head with it. He broke the skin on my head, he scratched my wrist, and almost broke my glasses, and then he left.
I followed him down the stairs to the subway until I could get the police and I said, “You’re not going to get away with it.” And as soon as he saw the police he immediately went calm. He still had the stick in his hand, and you could see the injury on my face, and he admitted it. He was arrested. He actually said, “I don’t know why I did this. It’s just those signs, and this election, it has me so upset.”
The bottom photo depicts the assailant, so far known only by his initials, BF. When I can, I will print his full name and picture. HE IS THE NEW FACE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY.
I have been a lifelong liberal, as was my father before me. But I am repulsed by a political movement that encourages such behavior. And yes, I do blame Obama and Dean directly. Throughout this year, the Obots have indulged relentlessly in the language of violence. They repeatedly called Hillary Clinton a cunt and a bitch. Time and again, they have threatened violence against anyone who commits the sin of not voting in the Obot-approved fashion. It was inevitable that their violent language would one day transform into violent deeds.
Not once have Obama or Dean condemned this disgusting behavior. McCain was civilized enough to speak against his own followers who stepped over the line; Obama has never done so, even though the Obots have behaved far more atrociously.
Silence equals acquiescence; acquiescence equals encouragement. Obviously, Obama and Dean intended to transform the Democrats into a band of barbarians. They saw what the Republican propagandists had accomplished in earlier years, and they became both envious and mimetic.
Good governance can never result from mob action. I will return to the Democratic party when the Democratic party returns to civilization.

My grandparents lost their house during the Great Depression and got it back because of the Democrats. My grandfather worked for GM from 1929 until 1955. The rights of unions to protect and bargain for the interests of workers became possible under Democrats. My father, a WWII vet and retired teacher, had the live he has had due to the GI Bill due to Democrats. My family benefited directly by actions taken by Democrats. On the other hand, John Engler, the governor of Michigan through the 90's enacted tax refunds and raided state retirments funds (pay as you go vs the old system of pre-paid benefits) and basically spent away any chance of a rainy day fund. Now that times are tough the folks with the money are not interested in investing it here because things are bad.
I do not see the Republicans as a viable alternative, except prehaps in very specific cases, because they do not believe in the role of government as we do. We have to take back our party...so much good energy having to go to something that we should not even have to do at all.
I would rather piss on them from inside the tent than outside. I am a Democrat whether they are or not.

This is truly terrifying. I live in NYC. I was a Clinton supporter too scared to show my support during the primaries because I was scared of Obots assaulting me. There has always been that fear because the Obots have always been this way. Many are so radical and fervent of their support of their Messiah that I believed anything was possible.

I really think the reason the media refuses to vet Obama and have indeed endorsed the guy to unprecedented levels (I am keeping track of all of the presidential endorsements in the country), including the Chicago Tribune and L.A. Times (the former never endorsing Democrats and the latter not endorsing for president since 1972), is they fear being tagged racist (and some desire to be a part of history, I suppose).
Come on over to the 'dark side' where common sense and calmer heads rule. When is the last time you heard of a Conservative beating up a little old lady?!? (or throwing molotov cocktails, wearing "______ is a **nt, etc).
You are right that this violence was formented. We so it first on the internet - stalking, closing blogs - and we know this came from the campaign. We heard B0 saying "get in their faces".

I've been wondering for some time now how much of Obamamania is attributable to folks simply wanting to rid America of the embarrassment of having a world-class idiot in the White House.
As well, they probably figure that Obama can perhaps shield us from some of the ugliness that the American government perpetrates on the rest of the world. That shit's embarrassing too.

I don't see the Republicans as a viable alternative either but I believe that the Democrats won't change unless they get hit with a loss. If Obama wins this one, I think that the Democrats are in for a really big surprise in the 2010 election. Maybe then we will start to see some change from within the Party as some sensible Dems (there have to be some) come to realize that making and breaking promises and governing as Republicans are not the way to go. Also, perhaps by 2010 some of the Obama cultists will have broken free of their Borg-like state and become human again.

There is an article on Rense today about Obama's use of hypnotic techniques(neurolinguistic programming) that may help explain some of his followers behavior.
Theoretically, shouldn't McCain win this election in a landslide? He has the support of almost the entire Republican party, plus what percentage of the democrats? 25% maybe? With those numbers, he'd win. So none of this makes any sense at all. How many of us displaced democrats are there out there? There seem like a lot. So if we're all voting for McCain and all the Republicans vote for him, then McCain wins big. There no way with all the democrats out there who won't vote Obama that he can be ahead by that many points. Obama is going to steal the election. I've been predicting that since the very beginning. The footnotes go to both good sources and crank sources. And the entire thesis is just plain strained -- you could use similar arguments to claim that ANY politician is using mass hypnosis techniques. The author presumes NLP to be a genuine science even no empirical evidence substantiates that claim.
That said, Milton Ericsson was a fascinating individual -- probably the most interesting researcher in the history of hypnosis. Although you won't find this fact mentioned in any book, the CIA consulted with him. (Ah, for the days of monospace fonts! They made the game of "guess the redacted name" SO much easier...) This is the direct result of Obama giving his marching orders to his followers. He told them to "get in their face" as he rallied his followers to campaign for him. He incites violence. We also were told by Donna Brazille that "there would be riots" in regard to the Primary results were the nomination to go to Hillary. How is this uniting America and when does the "bi-partisanship" begin?
Neither mainstream party offers anything of substance to the majority of Americans. That's why I'm voting third-party--I'm fed up with the "evil of two lessers."

As one of Obama white male supporters, I can guarantee that we are not ALL like this person. Yes, I am an Independent that leans Democrat, but I left the Democratic Party when Bill Clinton moved to far to the right. And yes, I am somewhat disappointed that Obama has moved to the center as well, but I also realize that elections are not won by going to either extreme. And this goes for Obama supporters as well. It doesn't help our cause to become our opposition.

Hi, Joseph - As a former Hillary supporter, I refuse to reward the DNC or Obama with my vote. Their behavior has been reprehensible and I am shocked to see this happening in our country. Obama definitely bought the nomination. I hope that the silent majority now consists of people like me who relate the Obama thugs of today with the Ayers type activists of the old days. These are not people who are willing to work hard so that they deserve what they get. Rather they are people who think everyone should share so they can skate. Yeah, better if they can just sit on their butts and collect a check from the government in exchange for their votes.

You know, the meeting where they decided 2 whole states didn't count because the other candidate might have won the nomination if they actually counted the votes. THAT'S NOT DEMOCRACY. That's government by committee.
Never have I been more frightened for our country. I suggest that we request independent observers from the UN to come and monitor our election. We are rapidly becoming a third world country who can't be trusted to hold a fair election. How far we have fallen.
In the mean time, fellow silent majority members, I encourage everyone to withhold the reward from these cheaters. Vote McCain/Palin 2008 and achieve 2 goals with one vote. It's the only way to get rid of these crooks and take back our country.

Greetings from the Left Coast...Joseph, love the blog...I found you when you did the Zombie spoof of the "Left-wing Blogosphere" kooks, and thereby discovered the PUMAs and other D's against BO...being a FORMER D myself (joined the dark side after Columbine, back in '99--it's a long story) I have to deal with my parents (both in their mid-to-late 70's now) who are still dyed-in-the-wool D's up in WA state...both VERY involved in local/state politics. They can't understand why I would go over to the R's, and I try to 'splain it to them, but no comprende there...and I also have a friend of mine that lives up in NE CA (I live in Santa Barbara County now--wine country!) who is very liberal (a NY secular Jewish woman) who pooh-poohed the strong-arm tactics by the Obama Team during the Caucuses (I sent her the videos from the Texas group of D's, @ "wewillnotbesilenced.com".)
