I'll add this: GOP propagandists against RESTORE keep referring to an incident from earlier this year in which troops were endangered by a delay resulting from the need for a warrant. What deceptive nonsense! At that time, the courts had ruled that foreign-to-foreign communications routed through American carriers required a court order. Once the problem became known, everyone in both parties demanded a fix, which the Protect America Act provided. (Must I state again that the August bill had other problems? I suppose I must.)
In other words, the rightists are sounding a call to arms based on a "problem" that has already been solved.

Dennis Hastert is retiring early. Why, I wonder? I'll be very amused if he claims that he wants to spend more time with his family, since he makes his wife stay in separate quarters whenever she comes to DC.

If only Sibel Edmonds' assertions about Denny Hastert and the suitcase full of cash gained traction in the media... especially since the Armenian genocide debate is on again. Hastert nearly brought the issue to the floor during his tenure as speaker, but a bit of cold, hard cash shifted his attention.

Anyone else notice how much bad mouthing has been going on by all the talking heads about the issue of the Armenian Genocide being risen? Never mind they've struggled to be recognized for almost a 100 years. Never mind they have not received a penny in resitution despite literally tons more evidence of a holocaust. Never mind that grandchildren of Holocaust survivors are still claing restitutions simply on the claim that grandma and grandpa's war stories have caused them irrepairable pyschological damage only healed with even more millions some 63 yrs. later.
Nice timing considering the ADL has been making it self look real bad lately with a string of psychotic behavior lately. Bollinger, nuclear hypocrisy, the embarrassing behavior of the bussed-in Hillel's to Columbia recommending women actually flash Ahmadinejad, printing huge posters of Ahmadinejad and Hitler side by side, groups wearing jewish dress while not allowing Muslims to wear a scarf, and the list goes on and on.
