Karl Rove's big gay dad liked to put needles in his wee-wee

WARNING! THIS POST CONTAINS AN EXPLICIT IMAGE.

IF YOU ARE AT WORK OR IN MIXED COMPANY, YOU MAY WANT TO THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU SCROLL DOWN.

We have known for a while now that Karl Rove's adoptive father was homosexual. Despite his labors on behalf of an anti-gay administration, the younger Rove always spoke of his father with "fierce admiration, love, and loyalty."

Only recently have we learned about the elder Rove's fondness for piercing his penis: See here and here. (Thanks to a reader for bringing these pieces to my attention.)
"Karl Rove's father was not only gay, but a part of the early body piercing scene and a regular at 70s piercing parties...
Karl's dad -- his name was Louie -- was a cover model for a journal called PFIQ -- Piercing Fans International Quarterly.

The rather explicit image below comes to us by way of BMEzine. (The "BM" stands for Body Modification.) That esteemed periodical presumably acquired the image from an old issue of PFIQ.

Originally, I balked at reproducing this picture. Some of you may be at work, while others may be not find this photograph the most pleasant thing to look at while eating Post Toasties.

But I feel that the public has a right to know the truth about the Rove family. After all, Karl has long used "family values" as a cudgel against Democrats. John Kerry would be president today if fear of sexual "deviance" had not mobilized the religious right.

Let me also stress that what bothers me here has nothing to do with either sexual identity or body modification. A few girlfriends back, I used to know a lady with pierced nipples, which I found rather sexy, especially when she wore those rings with the little black skulls. (Okay, so the goth thing is one of my weaknesses.) I'm hardly in a position to be judgmental about personal choices of this sort.

What bugs me about Rove is the hypocrisy. We all know how he would use such photographs against a political enemy. Turnabout is fair play.

So without further ado....

....herrrrrrrrrre's Louie!

So, Karl's father was a queen who needed to mutilate his own tiny little penis as a form of
self-expression. Sure explains a lot..or, I should say it adds further validation to what most of us already knew.

Louie apparently stayed with Karl's mother for 20 years before finally coming "out." It is probably safe to say that Karl spend the most formative years of his young life witnessing his adoptive father struggle with being who he was.

Fast foward a few years when
upon first meeeting gwb, young turdblossom had this to say:

Bush was wearing an Air National Guard flight jacket, blue jeans with a chewing tobacco tin in his pocket and cowboy boots and exuding “more charisma than any human being should be allowed to have at that age.” Rove recalled.

How fucking sweet. Isn't sublimated, homophobic man-lust a hoot? Think we'll ever get to see exactly how often Jeff Gannon had overnight visits at the WH?
Maybe there's another, er, um..deep throat out there with a story or two to tell.

How totally horrifying to see the source from which Filthy Karl spurted...

There isn't any hypocrisy to see here, if you ask me.

Did Karl Rove wish to outlaw genital piercing? (Not that I know of, and frankly, even if he has, one can reject the furthest fringe behavior of even a man one loves and calls 'father' without a hint of hypocrisy.)

Did Karl's father want to have gay marriage acknowledged in the law, opposing which was the main point of Karl's voter initiatives around the country)? (Same answer as above-- not that I know of, but it wouldn't matter. Even if Karl himself is gay, he could oppose gay marriage without being a hypocrite).

Has Karl ever gone after somebody who had already ended their national political career? Doubtful.

To my knowledge, Karl never used anybody's parents against them. The reason should be obvious. While parents have some responsibility for what their children do (less when they are adults), children simply do not have responsibility for what their parents do.

The simple rejoinder of "I love my (relative), but I don't support what he/she's done in this case" would defuse any damage to the child, and leave the potential for a very ferocious blow back on the attacker.

I always thought lessai faire when it came to affairs of the heart (or trousers). boy/boy boy/girl girl/girl girl/dog i could care less. And if they want nuptuals who cares. But a gay man fathered that "son of of butch" Karl Rove. If ever there was an argument for Adam/Eve not Adam/Steve, that would be it. Gay dads raise Rove?

Guess it would be really painful to have an erection with all those piercings. Perhaps this was the point, so to speak. Guess transgender surgery wasn't an option.

Wonder if jr. turdblossom put on his best bling-bling before those "special" Lincoln bedroom dates with Jeffy?

The point is disgustingly simple. It is the height of hypocrisy to hate yourself so much that you have to lash out at anyone, or any group of people, who remind you of precisely of who you really are.
You know, kind of like Ted Haggart, Mark Foley, Jimmy Swaggart, David Vitter, or any number if bigoted republicans to be named later.

Not so. Louie was Karl's stepfather and adoptive father.
