Back to our story: Dick Cheney has personally instructed the Pentagon to draw up plans to nuke Iran immediately after the next terror attack. And we all know that such an attack is inevitable.
Iran will fry even if that nation has nothing to do with the terrorism!
The Pentagon, acting under instructions from Vice President Dick Cheney's office, has tasked the United States Strategic Command (STRATCOM) with drawing up a contingency plan to be employed in response to another 9/11-type terrorist attack on the United States. The plan includes a large-scale air assault on Iran employing both conventional and tactical nuclear weapons. Within Iran there are more than 450 major strategic targets, including numerous suspected nuclear-weapons-program development sites. Many of the targets are hardened or are deep underground and could not be taken out by conventional weapons, hence the nuclear option. As in the case of Iraq, the response is not conditional on Iran actually being involved in the act of terrorism directed against the United States. Several senior Air Force officers involved in the planning are reportedly appalled at the implications of what they are doing--that Iran is being set up for an unprovoked nuclear attack--but no one is prepared to damage his career by posing any objections.The lives of untold millions may be saved if those officers develop a conscience and go public.
We need to get the Democratic Party Leadership interested in this story. And the rank-and-file. And the media.
Of course, right-wing propagandists have tried to convince us that Mr. and Mrs. Average Iranian really, really love America, deep in their hearts. That, presumably, is why Dick Cheney wants to turn them into glowing green vapor stew, even if they are innocent of any crime against us.

So any country, group, or individual now knows that all they have to do to begin WWIII with nukes is to do some terrorist act in America. People, people, people... Shall we just step back from the brink a minute and do some "big picture thinking" to use the term that the Pentagon uses when considering these sorts of situations.
China some months ago signed a long-term (25/30 year) oil deal with Iran, a vital asset in China's inevitable quest to secure greater access and control over oil supply from the Middle East. Last week, a Chinese General told journalists that, in his personal opinion, China would, or at least should, be prepared to use a nuclear response in any American effort to help Taiwan gain true independence. Anyone willing to speculate on what all that is about? And buying Unocal, shareholder in the pipeline that will stretch accross Afghanistan, and making moves with Russia to push America and its bases out of Central Asia?
Look at the big picture, people, and you will understand what will happen on the world stage, beyond the brief episodes of Iraq and, I believe inevitably Iran. Nuclear brinksmanship has always hinged on bluff and, presuming the various American agencies and systems are sufficiently infiltrated with Russian, Chinese, and who knows who else's spies, this type of memo is simply one kind of warning/declaration of intent that may be nothing more than high-stake diplomacy.
If Washington were to use the bomb, they would probably go all out and hit Beijing. And that is not going to happen.
You may, however, wish to consider the qualitative differences between tactical and strategic nuclear weapons. And also consider that according to some historians, you Americans have already headed now Five Nuclear Wars (depeleted uranium, who knows what was really used in Iraq, etc.) Maybe your shock at "madman Cheney using nukes" (if your vocabulary were less tabloid, maybe the finesse of your thinking would rise in proportion...) is in fact blind, ignorant misunderstanding about have far we (US + Western powers) have laready gone down the path of blurring nuclear and conventional categories of war.
Please, Americans, if you look beyond you own worldview, you may understand that this is perhaps the biggest limiting factor on your getting alone better with the rest of the world! Getting the Democratic party to condemn the plan will do nothing, as they are run by the same people.
Don't protest, rather educate. Tell people. A few people at the top can't oppose 200 million people who know what's going on, who know what the plan is.

Of course realize that the nukes discussed are most likely tactical in nature. Meaning that they are not the kind meant to cause wide spread death. They are most likely "bunker buster" nukes of a low yield nature. They will most likely be used to destroy nuke sites all over Iran. Convential weapons would not be able to reach the hardened sites. For more on tactial "nukes", a savvy search on the web will reveal a Pentagon memo by Rumsfeld of about two-three years ago, about developing "mini" and "micro-nukes" - low-yield, bunker-busting bombs which, at least in theory, detonate many metres under the ground and therefore leave little surface trace of a nuclear holocaust, similar to all the underground testing that has taken place over the years. Air-burst nuclear tests were, if you remember, banned in 1963.
Perhaps more worrying than Washington's red button is that Israel recently had some bunker-busters delivered (from the US), although they still officially deny have the bomb, yet probably have around two hundred warheads, and a submarine-launch capability, the only real credible nuclear deterent of our time (cf. UK and French policies, based on American Trident and Polaris technologies and who knows what else is coming down the pipeline).
I'm not saying I'm not worried, but we (all nations) have more than enough means of provoking the apocalypse without recourse to the conceptually very evil threat of using nuclear devices (at least openly, let's not even begin to talk about plutonium suitcase bombs...)
Another VERY IMPORTANT POINT to remember in all this: Iran's nuclear capability (military) was first suggested and explored under the Shah Reza and actually put on ice for more than ten years by the Ayatollahs after the 1979 revolution. So, the inevitable tendancy (esp. for you guys in the US) to connect religious fervour and nuclear gun-slinging - the fear of provoking biblical disaster - is not played out in the historical facts.
From a Geo-political point of view, Iran could bring stability to a dangerously ASSYMETRIC balance of military power in a strategic region (cf. Isreal's unspoken capability...). After all, there is already the much feared "Islamic bomb" in a country that is far more unstable and historically heaving than Iran, namely Pakistan. And the Iranians, who, in general, behave and think in a far more NATIONALISTIC rather than REGLIGIOUS way (despite years of anti-Teheran propaganda in the West), would have little use for the bomb except as a deterent. Why destroy prime real estate. And the Cold War was all about stability through armement - MAD, NUTS, etc. - and other countries - Russia, India, Pakistan, Israel, Turkey, China - should be the best judges of the Iranian threat since they are neighbours (by chance of fate, not by consciously occpying the neighbouring country - Iraq).
The State Department et al. knows this, and whilst I can't fully remove any possibility of a major miscalculation in Washington or Tel-Aviv, I don't see why a nucelar solution would be used for the American-provoked "Iran situation". America is powerful, but is simply negotiating a strong position to barter away in the next fifty years of its inevitable decline as a superpower. Throwing nukes around would only accelerate this decline and America would be the first to lose.
So, can anyone here explain LOGICALLY why this rumour would be abything else but a rumour???

Everyone has days when they are down, worn out, fear and anxiety and just not feeling all that happy.
That's OK, you need to have days like this, otherwise how would you know when you are happy. You need to have something to contrast your happiness with. What is black without white?
Even though you know that sadness (fear and anxiety) is a part of life, let's try to make it a small part of life.
With that said, here are a few tips to help you feel better when you are feeling down in the dumps. They are easy to do, easy to practice every day and they work!
1. Stand up straight, sit up straight. When your body is in alignment your energy can flow and when your energy is flowing freely, you can flow.
2. Smile! Yes, just smile. Easy to do and effective.
3. Repeat positive affirmations. Things like "I feel good", "Positive energy flows through my body", "I see the good in all".
4. Listen to some music that you like. It doesn't have to be anything specific, just something you enjoy. Certain types of music work better than others, but experiment and see what works for you. Studies have shown that Classical music and new age music work best.
5. Take some time out for yourself, relax and read a book, do something for yourself.
6. Meditate. Meditation is an excellent habit to develop. It will serve you in all that you do. If you are one who has a hard time sitting still, then try some special meditation CDs that coax your brain into the meditative state. Just search for "Meditation music" on Google or Yahoo and explore.
Our outside work is simply a reflection of our inside world. Remember there is no reality just your perception of it. Use this truth to your advantage. Whenever you are sad, realize that it is all in your mind and you do have the power to change your perception.
These tips will lift you up when you are down, but don't just use them when you are sad or fear and anxiety . Try and practice them everyday, make them a habit. You will be surprised at how these simple exercises will keep the rainy days away.
On a final note, if you are in a deep depression that you can't seem to shake, please go see a doctor. This is your life and don't take any chances. fear and anxiety
